If you are not going for "el primo" awards with the car, why do you need to find the 'correct' carb for it? You can re-rod/jet any Q-jet (pre-'75, anyway) to work just fine on your engine.

Rochester originally designed and produced the Q-Jet. In a few years, they were going on so many cars that GM asked Carter to produce the same product due to demand. In the 80's, when carbs went 'south', Edelbrock bought all the production equipment to keep the aftermarket needs satisfied. And, today, there are still outfits that produce new and rebuilt Q-Jets.

In just the past 2 weeks, I've had 2 Carter Q-Jets to work on. Lots of 'em still around.

If you want to stay as original as possible, your choices are as follows;
350/300hp 4 speed carb # 7040203
350/300hp automatic carb # 7040202
These carb numbers are for most '70 cars depending on build date. These numbers are found on a verticle surface on the drivers side of the carb.

I have an extra 7040502 carb service dated 1973 if you are interested. It would need a rebuild. I'm located 2 hours west of you.
