I am beginning to watch the different threads more closely with regard to paint especially at home. I am more than impressed with your work, very nicely done, and I love the hood in particular.
I love the color. I was considering something like that for my L88 hood, but after seeing it in Safari Yellow, I could not bring myself to change it! I really like the way you transitioned the black and silver. That blue sets it off!
I recently painted my car in my homemade booth; It is pleasantly surprising to see the results that can be had for a cheap paint booth!
Nice work, and keep the progress pictures coming.
you don't need a high dollar downdraftbooth to get professional results. what you do need is a strong compressor, water traps, good lighting, a good exhaust fan made for painting. i got my fan from grainger. it was @ $700.00 and it has a spark resistant motor that won't ignite the fumes. and the booth has to be as clean as you can get it. i have hardly any trash nibs in this car. i got way more trash in the jobs i painted in the downdrafts i painted in. i'm going to be building a real spray booth with walls soon
here it is outside.
