Ok I am srry guys but I think I have asked this before but I have a Corvette Assembly manual.....is this the same as a AIM??....just asking before I start tearing out stuff and want to make sure I got what I need...thanks in advance
Yes. An AIM = Assembly Instruction Manual. As you remove parts make notes as to fasteners head markings, length and finish. Spacer thickness and colors. mike...
Hi mcv,
Even with the AIM at your side, and well marked up as mds shows, you still need to bag and lable EVERYTHING, because even the AIM won't tell you what bolt to use; just where it goes and how much to torque it once you have the right bolt in your hand.
Remember, they come APART much faster and easier than they go back TOGETHER, so be careful how much "tearing" you do.

Alan
thanks for the sound advice ..my manual came from the other owner and he bought it from Zip but to be honest with u the quality really sucks..not very clear...thats 1 reason why I was asking...thanks
Hi mcv,
The quality of the copies of the AIM varies wildly. I think many are copies of copies of copies.... .
I'm on my third AIM and this one is from Covette America. It's as clear as any I've seen. I have it in a large binder with a plastic sleeve for each page. This has worked out well... I should have done it long ago.

Alan
