your doin' just fine. a hundred more empties and you'll have saved up a quart.

Hey, "waste not...want not" still makes good sense (just a lot of trouble for a little bit of oil).

Well done!

Somebody makes a shelf that allows you to place quart bottles upside down and drains the oil into a container. Don't know what it costs.... $100? I like your solution better.

<- This is true, but the statistics on how much oil nationally is sent to landfills still inside the original container as residue is staggering.

Bought an Oil Buddy from Summit Racing couple years back. It is a funnel with a quart oil bottle at the end of a stand that you hang on the wall. I can tilt the funnel out a little and put my oil bottles and gallon jugs on it and let the rest drain out into the bottle under it. You will not believe how much you will get out of them, then we use it in our shop waste oil burner. Cheap Heat
