Default urethane bumper repair??

the rear bumper cover on my 79 has a big hole in it above where the license plate mounting is, what is the proper way to patch the urethane? Or can it even be done?

Thanks for any suggestions!

If you have the pieces, it can be done. Any auto body supply house will have a kit they sell just for fixing urethane bumpers. It's a two part epoxy that's black in color and smells like feet. Do the major repair with that, then for any MINOR surface imperfections, use a THIN FILM of body filler. I've done this dozens of times and years later, the repairs have held up.

Was it hit or just broke?
If hit it can be repaired, but if it just fell out where will the next piece fall out from?
Once they start breaking, it is over.
Replace it and be done with it.
It will be cheaper.
