Speedometer Cable
My speedometer only goes up if i floor it and then in reverse it actually drops down and pegs!!!???? so i assumed a bad upper cable. The problem is I ordered on ein and it was 41 inches long. The one I took out was less than 2 feet. I have called every parts store and they are all the same. 41 inch upper and 63 lower. Was there an upgrade or change they made or am I missing something??? should i use the 41 inch one? seems like alot of extra i dont know what to do with through the firewall. thanks

The upper cable is rarely bad. How do you know it's not the drive gear in the tranny, the lower cable, the the c/c module or the speedo head itself?
