Does anyone have a picture or diagram of how the factory routed the hoses in the nose of a 71 coupe? I'm in the process of replacing all the vacuum hoses to my headlights and I want to keep the factory appearance. The original hoses are long gone.
there have been at least 2 different threads recently on this subject. do a search (use the search function on the top red bar) and you'll come up with more information than you can need. remember "search" is your friend.
What I'm looking for is how the factory routed, bundled, and tied wrapped the hoses in the nose area, around the two relays and headlights. I know how the system is connected together.
This is the area I'm asking about. After the hoses come through the radiator support, how do they route? This one pic helps some, but I'd like to see the entire area. Especially around the relays and actuators.
No Problem. Still wouldn't mind seeing an actual pic though. I'm going to try to attend the NCRS meet is Sacramento this weekend. Hopefully I can see some good examples there.
Hi Duff,
Here are some pictures... they're not too good.... it's difficult to get my camera in the openings.
On my 71 there are 5 tie straps, 3 right below the lip of the hood surround that hold the hoses against the forward lighting harness, (2 on the left side and 1 on the right), and 1 on the green and red hoses about 8-10" before the actuator nipples.
I hope these pics are at least some help to you.
Again, sorry for the delay.
Regards,
Alan
