Default interior advice (pictures)

Hey guys. I have a '70 454 coupe non-matching corvette and have decided to change the color of the exterior and interior. The exterior is going to be black. The interior is currently blue and I would like to change it to red. I plan on having the guy painting the car dye most of the parts but will need the following with preferences:
1. seat foam-Simple to purchase from any of the online shops
2. seat covers-I would prefer leather or leather with vinyl skirts and solid red would be O.K. but black with a red insert that matches everything else may look better. What do you think and can anyone provide a link
3. Looking for custom cut dynamat for the car floors, doors, t-tops. I have seen this mentioned in several threads but I can not seem to find the product...if this is unavailable I could go with the standard pre cut sound/ heat insulation from corvette america etc.
4. carpet-I would like to go with delux (plush, cut pile) carpet red
5. weather stripping- will buy parts needed online
6. Side note-Can anyone point me in the right direction for some great looking new or used side pipes

I want the interior to be super nice but it doesn't need to be show quality. It is important that all the red matches and is the same shade.

Your opinions and/or links would help me a lot
Thanks

Black with mostly red interior with black and red seats would look hot. Check out the thread "I'm a c3 baller" he has black and red seats ...different year but you'll get the idea.

Agreed...I am interested in something like his seats although stock red seats might be the way to go. The only seat covers that I have found with two tones are aftermarket neoprene covers. If I end up going that route I guess I could go with vinyl red stock and then place the neoprene over them

I like the white look, sorry to hear it is leaving, however, black with a red interior would look nice too.

I like the white also but think I will like the black and red much better. Hopefully someone can guide me to what I am looking for.

Kind of a lot of trouble to make the car worth way less.

The paint is not the original color and is cracked and chipped in areas, the seat covers have rips in them, the carpet is threadbear, and the interior is scuffed. I'm pretty sure about my color choices.

FWIW: order your upholstery and carpet from the same vendor to ensure you get the same red.

When the upholstery arrives, take a piece to a SEM automotive interior dye dealer and let him/her match your red. He/she can mix your dye.

In 1970, the color choices were:

- Classic White
- Monza Red
- Marlboro Maroon
- Mulasanne Blue
- Bridgehampton Blue
- Donnybrooke Green
- Daytona Yellow
- Cortez Silver
- Ontario Orange
- Laguna Grey
- Corvette Bronze

Black was not even a color option in 1970. Not sure what the original color is on your 1970.. but the first choice would be the original color. After that, I'd probably go Cortez Silver, Corvette Bronze, Mulsanne Blue or Ontario Orange.

Given that your interior is blue, odds could be the car was originally White, Mulsanne Blue, Cortez or Laguna Gray.

and so that we all follow the logic, you would skip putting this BIG BLOCK CHROME BUMPER 1970 CORVETTE COLLECTIBLE back to it's original color because _____________________.

a) Batmobile Fetish - always wanted a black car like the caped crusader
b) Have a thing against restoring somewhat original cars to their optimum value
c) Sale on black spray paint at Walmart compels you...

But seriously...

Seriously???

What was the point of that?
Why do you care so much if he wants a black car and doesn't want to paint it the original color?

Why are such a douche bag?

A) Mom kept you on the titty too long
B) Daddy didn't pay his child support momma worked 3 jobs, now you look at everything for it's monetary value
C)You just are a douche bag on a forum for no reason just for the sake of being one

But Seriously

Probably C. But more likely D... Like to take the position that makes the most sense.

I was going to suggest that option....

but anyway

Black/Black is hot(literally and figuratively)

Black/Gray/Silver is always a good combo

Black/Red I think looks really good and I don't really like red anything but black cars are awesome and seeing the red interior with the t-tops off is very eye catching...

If you serious about a two tone interiod, then contact a manufacturer that will make it any color you want...'Al Knoch Corvette interiors can handle that request or any Corvette parts store that is listed on the forum that sells his products....If you cant find one to take on the task,....call them direct....as they do 'Custom' interiors besides stock in both leather or plastic........
