I did my 1977 seats in a couple hours (like 4 or 5). I bought the covers from an eBay vendor. An installation kit from Willcox Corvette parts, and I had a set of hog ring pliers from a previous life as an autobody repairman. I also got some extra hog rings on eBay which came in handy since the Willcox kit was a bit short on them. I reused my old foam... you might want to get new stuff as I found the original had collapsed a bit... I have some wrinkles in the covers which new, plump foam would have fixed. Do only one seat at a time so you have a refrence to look at, and take your time aligning the covers and pulling them tight to the foam... you'll do fine and it is easier than it sounds.
Get the video, take your time and be patient. You can do it as well as you want and be proud of the job you do. Thats what's great about these cars, most of the time its enjoyable as well as you will get to be in your own little world and if the wife is into it, look at the extra time spent with her. But remember, let her think she's boss. It goes a long way. Most people I know think you need to work at nasa to work on c3's but i don't think nasa teaches you enough to work on a c3 its better to let the c3 forum members help. Good Luck.
