This basically started happening out of nowhere and it randomly starts and stops so I can't put my finger on it.
At random times I'm getting no power, none for lights, horn, and when I turn the key the radio doesn't come on and of course, it wont start.
When it first started doing this, I would push the car a little while in gear and it would get power back. This made me think bad starter but now nothing I do seems to help to help it along. I can just try in another 5 min and it may work but it will quit again
My ground cable came off when bringing my car home for the first time. It came off the engine block. Aand because there was no starter shield in place, it contacted the solenoid positive post and melted part of the nut and threaded post.
think I've found the problem and at least the temp solution, I had already looked and tightened battery leads but now decided to remove them. Ground wire where it attaches to battery has plastic melted all over contacts, cleaned it off and we got power.
