I recently bought a '75 coupe. The shoulder belts and retractors are intact but the lap belts are missing. How did the original lap belt connect to the shoulder harness head? The harness has metal plate with two slots in it. One slot has the harness web sewn through it and the other slot looks like it may have gone over a stud on the lap belt.
Any answers are appreciated.

That looks like the same system on my 76. Apparently the lap belt coil under the seat quit working so the former owner had them removed. I'm guessing they rusted and became non useable so the owner removed them. Happened on mine and I replaced them with lap belt coils out of a 92 camaro. Do a topic search on the forum and you will find other owners doing the same.
Thanks for the replies and the photo. After looking at everything I've concluded that this car has had later model lap/shoulder belts installed and the last person simply cut the lap belt from the shoulder harness head and took it out. The harness head is configured to snap into the latch head on the console side.
My plan is to buy an aftermarket lap belt with retractor, cut the end off and have it resewn to the shoulder harness connector.
Thanks again.
