Im going to replace my rusted core support.
Im not going to run the factory shroud and it had the early support in it so does it matter or is their an advantage of running the late one verses the early design?
The 76 supports varied by how the stock fan shroud attached and a jink for AC plumbing when the swap was made to the R4 compressors.
If you want to keep factory air and have the A6 compressor, use the early support. If you want to keep the factory AC and have the R4, use the late support.
If you are not keeping factory air and do not intend to return to it, and if you're set on an aftermarket radiator, use the support recommended by the manufacturer of your radiator.
Regardless of who makes your radiator, you will still need the support seals.
I think i will wait until the rad comes in and see how it fits the early support i have now and then go from there.
I already got rid of the air and the broken shroud.
After i get it all done i will post pics and specs to maybe help out someone else.
