Default Starter decode

Hi
i am new to the forum
i am looking for information on decoding big block starters.
I have a 69 big block and would like to see if my starter is correct for the year of car.

Welcome!
The starter case has information stamped into it.
Example:
The part number...118400
The year... a single digit... 9
The month... a single letter...A
The day of the month...23
There's usually one more number but ?
The Delco Remy USA
What info do you see on your starter?

Early 1969 427's may have had PN 1107369.
427's with M22 Heavy-Duty 4-speed transmission: 1108351
427's (without M44): 1108400

That part number shows up as being for a mid- late 60's Buick full size. Date code is June 3 1966.

generally the aluminum staggered nose is for a 454 or even a 350.....396-427`s have a cast iron nose
