I just got my C3, runs great needs paint but I will keep it this way until spring. 1970 Red with black interior 327 obviously not a numbers matching but I wasn’t looking for a numbers car anyway, 4 speed. The frame was powder coated, new radiator, gas tank calipers all new gas and brake lines, new leaf and all new springs and shock, engine rebuild about 5000mi ago, great acceleration, very nice interior, no A/C. $9,000 I think it’s a very fair price even though it will need some work, the paint I can do and everything else is easy stuff. Too bad snow in the forecast for tomorrow but I should still have a month or so of driving and working some bugs out before it goes into storage for the winter. My first Vette, a blast to drive!
Congratulations Cooke! Sounds like you are in the northeast based on tomorrow's forecast. Make sure you post pictures - everyone here likes to see the car on delivery and the progress of your work! Look forward to seeing your car - and good luck!
Hello to a fellow NH resident! Nice car you have there. Are you really going to drive it for a few weeks? They already put salt on the roads in my area.
Actually I am in CT just bought it from a guy in NH, I will get plates this week I hope. Also if anyone has an original steering wheel I am looking for one. The one on the car now just looks way to small and feels weird.
Hi Cooke,
NEW OLD Corvette!!!!
Your car looks very nice.
Besides the paint, I notice in the interior pictures, that it appears the thin foam that's sewn into the seat covers is failing. It turns to pale yellow saw dust. You'll see it on your pants when you get out of the car; and you'll see the seat covers have a sort of loose/puckered look to them. It happens to almost all seats of this age. The only cure is new covers.
Still a very nice looking 72. I hope you get a few more weeks of driving yet this fall.
Good Luck!
Alan
Got my 72 last year, welcome to the club. The guys on here are great and give extremely valuable advice. Never be afraid to ask before you try something on your own. I have saved a lot of money and time by asking for advice on this site.

Small world....I've researched and talked to the second owner my '70 and found that it came from the New Britain/Newington area...but can't seem to get to the original owner.
