Default Body length?

This may seem like an odd question but I'm trying to figure out if a C3 will fit in my garage. The houses in my neighborhood seem to lack a garage with any depth to it. Our current cars fit, but with only a very small amount of room in front (enough to walk by it carefully) and almost none in the back of the car.

I've found a couple of sites that list lengths, but I'm not sure how accurate they are, or what they are using as measuring points. Could / would any of you mind posting up the bumper to bumper length of your car? I'm looking at '75 to '77 mostly.

Thanks in advance,
Adam

The Corvette Black Book, which seems to be accurate for my '79, gives the same length- 185.2 inches, for all Vettes from 1974 to 1979.

Thank you Don. That's the number I have been finding as well. If that's the case I should be good. I may have a serious buyer for my current car which would allow me to start my hands on search for a C3.

Hard to imagine just from a visual standpoint that my '05 Mustang is just over 2" longer.

This thread is from 13 years ago. You’ll be much better off starting a new thread asking your question. When you do, please post a picture of this 41 foot long vette.
