Default help with frame off

Just about ready to pull the body. Is there an easy way to get the front bumper cover off and the headlight assemblies out? Looking at my aim and am missing 1/2 of it. Must be in another binder somewhere.

I can not comment on a 78 ( is that your year model-from ur profile?) but the 80 was easy but time consuming. Do a search for front cap removal, there's plenty of good info here on that topic. Mine took about 3 hours to remove working alone. Took about the same amount of time to reinstall.
My headlight assemblies stayied in the car for a body mount changeout. Don't know why they would need to be removed for a body lift ?

Ok thanks. It is a '78, I forgot to mention that. I was just hoping there was an easier way than what I was seeing to get it off. Even with air tools it is a pain to get to. I want to take the headlight assembly out to paint the car and get rid of some of the weight while the body is off.

Headlight assys are held in by 4 bolts. Easier access from underneath after removing the chin spoiler and center panel. Mine is a 1977 so your bumper may be a different configuration but the bolts were readily removed with a swivel extension and air ratchet. I had trouble with clearance trying to remove them through their own holes so I took off the hood (the radiator was already out as was the condenser) and weaseled them out past the vacuum plumbing. The bumper cover bolts are mostly accessible through the headlight holes... I'd hate to try removing it with the lights in place! Seems like a lot of extra steps, but it is easier and any weight you can remove from the nose will help avoid distorting your body while it sits on the dolly... and easier come lift time.

Thanks, that is what I was hoping to hear (an easy way to get to the cover bolts). I have got to find the other half of my aims.
