Default Can anyone tell me...

What this is? It's hanging from a brown wire with an inline fuse and a yellow wire from up near the fuse block on the driver's side. The car is a '78.

Also - The low and medium fan speeds do not work. I replaced the blower motor resistor and that didn't help. I used a test light and checked the power at the resistor on the medium and low speeds and power was there. I guess I should've used a multimeter to see what kind of voltage was there. So I'm assuming that it's not the switch but not sure where to look now??

Thanks!!

Eric

That little board gets plugged into the fuse panel in place of the wiper fuse if you have intermittent wipers.
It IS a factory thing, as bubba as it looks.
I believe it's in the harness regardless of whether you have regular or the intermittent wipers, just tucked out of the way if not.
A 1978 ONLY thing.

As for the fan speeds, I'd open up the AC relay on the firewall and lightly sand the contact points.

that is exactly what it is. it plugs into the fuse box like a relay would. it is definitely factory as cobbled as it looks.

Oh, ok. My wiper switch has a pot on it like it should have delay wipers.. I don't like driving it in the rain, anyway, since showering more than once a day is a waste of water. Be green!

I'll try sanding the contacts on the relay, too. Thanks!

I cleaned the contacts in the ac relay and now I have fan speeds other than high! Thanks a million!

Now onto figuring out what's broken with the window regulators..

Just passing on advice given to me last summer! Glad it worked for you, too.
