Default Rustbelt 73' headlight help request

I recently bought a 73' as a running project, I noticed the right headlight door in the down /closed position was lower than the left and when I pulled the headlight switch the left opened normally however the right would partially open then bind or pinch against the fiberglass surround as it hinged upward. Upon some front grill disassembly I was able to see that the support crossing over the headlight mechanisms which appears to be glued to the underside of the front nose clip is rusted out allowing the right headlight to sag. Can anyone tell me what this cross over support or anchor piece is called so I can game plan on a placement? I made up a temporary brace to hold up the right headlight to allow it to open freely without binding. This isn't a vacuum problem as the headlight mechanisms work great with my temporary repair, just can't seem to identify the component the headlights actually mount to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
BA

Hi ba,
The part you're asking about is called the header bar. It's the piece the rear bolts on the headlight frames bolt into.
I believe they're the same for 68-82 cars.
