Default new to this please help

just bought 69 last 6 are 700374 A29 paint 976 tri, std 427 engine and trans matching# all ok with that... problem is A29 looked on internet says A29 A=August built in 1968 is that right?? I'm very new to this first vet and I want to learn all I can. thanks for any help you can give me,,,, steve

go to the C3 registry and see where you serial number fits in with other known dates.

Correct. The new model year usually began in August, but there are exceptions. #374 sounds correct for August 29th, 1968; third or fourth day of 69 production.

New, old, 69! NICE!!!
It is a bit confusing.... your model year 69 was built in 1968, so it will have ALL 1968 DATED parts but NOT parts for the 68 model year car which would have had 1967 and early 1968 DATED parts.
Later built 69 model year cars might have a combination of 1968 and 1969 DATED parts depending on just when it was built.
So, how about a couple of pictures?
