Hi m76r,
WELL!!!! It certainly looks like you're having a good time in your retirement, AND doing some VERY nice work!
There really is something beautiful about a chassis and running gear. It's almost a shame to cover it with a body.
I always enjoy seeing what people are working on.
Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures and for the link. It looks like you have a good place/space to work which is always a good thing.
Regards,
Alan
Numbers dont match, owner dont care. Nothing wrong with that ! Looks like thats a great job you are doing. Keep the pics coming and thanks for posting.

I spent the first two summers of my retirement preparing the work place. I love it.
Looking great!! We're at about the same stage on our rebuilds... What kind of shape is the body in?? What's next on your project list...
Rogman
Body is in pretty good shape. I think I'm going to paint it with Summit Racing's Black Cherry Pearl (base and clearcoat).
Since the pics were taken I installed the drive shaft, fuel pump, power steering pump and the hoses to connect the fuel lines. Next, I'll install the headers and exhaust. Then repair the #2 and #6 mounts in the birdcage. Not too bad but the holes are a bit bigger than they should be due to rust.
Then I'll put the body back on. I took it off by strapping the body to the rafters above the lift and lowering the chasis from under it. I hope to hang the body above the lift and raise the chasis under it.
It looks Great! Nice work, The oil pan on the tranny it's also chrome? If you put that work on the chassis I can even imagine the work on the body
Tranny pan is chrome, oil pan is aluminum. I sprayed them both with clear engine paint in hopes it will delay rust and corrosion. Also used clear coat on the fuel and brake lines hoping to keep them looking niice.
