I know many of you have noticed my arrival to the forum, threads about changes to the C3, and took an interest in when I was going to purchase the Corvette.
Well, it finally happened. On November 22, 2011 I purchased my first C3. It is an original 1980 yellow manual. It needs a new dash pad, other minor fixes, and has a few rattles that I would like to fix, but for the most part it is in great condition.
Do you mind telling us what you paid...car looks very clean and in very good condition...it just helps us see where the market is.
On a side note...I am just happy that you got exactly what you were looking for, I remember your WTB post and some people were saying it might be kinda hard to find one since you only had 80's and 81's to choose from....and that it wouldn't be a Stingray(we wont touch on that now though)...So good job sir...good job
A BIG Congrats is in order! Yellow and black and its a 4-speed, what a great combo and more importantly you got exactly what you wanted. I would be interested to know what you paid as well as I think market it ticking up a little bit on very clean 80-82's. There are have been two $15K sales of super clean cars in the past few weeks.

Hey Guys,
I don't mind telling what I paid. It was 11K down from 12.8K.
I know I am paid a little too much as I mentioned some things that need to be fixed and replaced, but I decided that because of the somewhat rarity and the fact that I am getting exactly what I wanted, it was worth it. In a year or so, are you really going to regret spending the extra 1 or 2K on getting exactly what you want? No likely.
It has a edlebrock "Performer" on it. I was chosen as it was aluminum too, just like the original.
Haha, I don't know why people think I want to rice it out. I just wanted to add a few lights and see if any cool mod ideas were out there. The only things I really plan to change is make the instrument panel light brighter, maybe add a chrome fender vent, a new shifter, and a door sill....and maybe a push start button for fun.
Hi sS,
Well!!! That's a great looking car.
I'm not too familiar with the actual prices that cars change hands for, but that looks like a NICE car for the money.
Well Done !
Regards,
Alan

Thats what it's all about right...getting what you want! Good job. The car is real clean, and if the frame and everything is decent and in good shape underneath, then you made a great purchase.

I like it a lot.
Don't mess it up with cheap modifications. That car would be a nice original looking car.
