Default Last Drive for 2011

With another nice weekend here in the northeast I took the car out for the last time this year. Topped off the gas tank, changed the oil & filter and put the cover on. It was a pretty good year weather wise, no problems with the car....had a lot of fun with it.. Before you know it spring will make it's return and I'll be looking forward to my first drive in 2012.

Your car is a beauty - Looks like it is tucked in for a little "hibernation time". Bet ya can't wait until spring!!!

Nice Car. I did the same thing yesterday with my 76 and washed it in the garage this morning and will wax it then put the same flannel car cover on it that you have until after Christmas when I'll put it on floor jacks and pull the four wheels off and do various little things under it..largely cleaning grease off and repainting carefully. I'll pull the seats and pull the Jute out and the old carpet and put the new urethane insulation in and then the new carpets on top of that. Don't have to do the back shelf, just the seat and footwell areas. Have all the materials already. Must figure out why the passenger door open light doesn't come on since I took a big footed friend for a ride but I think his foot pulled the orange wire loose from a connection and just haven't taken the time to deal with it.

Was almost 70 here today but now that it's clean I am not taking it out even on dry roads. There is so much black road dust that you can't see but wipe the side rear panel after a ride and you can see it on your fingers.

Your engine compartment and the whole car look very nice. Good job all the way around to keep it that well.

That's a great looking car you have there. Since the snow the last weekend in October the weather up here has been very mild. After last winter I hope it can for the most part remain "warmer" than normal. I'm looking foward to April too.

Looks like the theme around the northeast. Put my C6 and C3 into the storage facility for the winter this weekend. I'll wake them up in May. I kept the C1 at the house so at least I have something to tinker on over the long winter months................. ugh.

Your car looks great

But I'm still driving. As long as the roads are clear and dry I don't care what the calendar says.

They dumped tons of salt down on the 6" we had a week ago.
Now that the roads are drying up, there's still nasty residue that flings up into the chassis.

OP: sweet ride!

The Sunday after Thanksgiving is my traditional day to fill the tank and park it to start the "winter projects" season. It was too warm yesterday for that. I got a nice ride in on Saturday, and decided to extend the driving season at least a week.

I had the vette out on Friday for laps around Charlotte Motor Speedway Then on Saturday it got a good wash... then yesterday a fresh coat of Zaino!! I almost put the cover on last night (something I never do in the garage) but this is just the last drive until the next nice day. No hibernation down here!
