Default source for license plate frame

Does anyone reproduce the stainless license plate frame that came with the C3 when new? Thanks

Yes,
go to ebay and search for vintage license plate frames.
A seller has about 10 of them for $5.99.
They are the 1/4 coverage frames used back in the day
unless the dealer had a personalized frame.
I'm getting one for my front 68' Calif. plate.

Ecklers and Corvette Central have the reproduction of the original frames. I bought them a few months ago.

It's cheap flash chrome, but not original, which were stainless steel.

Hi 9492,
I don't know how close to original configuration you're looking for.
The reproduction SS frames that are availabe now have a different rivet than the production line frames. This only matters to a few looney people.
I'm one; you?
Regards,
Alan

Hi f,
Fortunately I have the originals that came with my car.
I do see originals for sale on occasion. There are probably lots of them hidden in people's garages!?!

Alan

Hi 9492,
If you want a set of originals I'd post an ad for them.
If you're going to have your car judged the difference in the repro may well be noted...probably only a point... but it's nice to have originals.
Regards,
Alan

Hi NWM,
My understanding is that they're a bit different... but I'm not 100% sure.
Is the 67 competely apart? Any surprises?, good OR bad?
Regards,
Alan
