Default Auto vs 4spd Carpet difference

Carpets are listed as either auto or manual trans
Is there a Bump in the 4spd trans tunnel on the drivers side that doesn't affect the console but does change the carpet?
I've seen these in Nova's and since the console doesn't come back between the seats it's noticeable but though the vette console would have covered it.

Just wondering

I wouldn't think that there is any difference in the tunnel. I'm guessing under the pedals. The auto have a padded area for the left foot to rest that the manual doesn't maybe?

Mooser.. Depends on what year the car is... Some have a slight difference... and I do mean slight.

Hi Mooser,
I thought the bump in the trans tunnel for auto cars was on the passenger's side of the tunnel, quite far forward, but not as far as the toe board.
I've looked for some info on it but can't find anything.
Regards,
Alan

TH400 cars have a bump out in the passenger's footwell the standard trans cars do not have.

I can't recall whether the TH350 cars have it.

Makes the passenger's side carpet fit a little differently.

Hi Mike,
That's what I thought, but wasn't sure!
Thanks!

Found an old thread, matches what you've said, auto's have a bulge on the pass side, AIM doesn't differentiate TH400 / TH350's.
Was always curious
Thanks
