Default Speedo cable help

Does anyone here happen to know for sure if the speedo cable I have from my 77 turbo 350/400 will also work with the T10 manual transmission. Looks like they are routed differently through the firewall, but other than that will it fit into the trans adapter ? As far as I can tell from the AIM it will.

thanks

Thanks I have a single cable about 72", as per the one Wilcox has listed for the manual trans, that is what it had installed since 83 anyway. I do see what you are saying with regards to the 2 piece listed for 77. I am more concerned that it will fit into the adapter for the manual trans as length is not a problem and I don't have the manual adapter handy yet to try it.I think if i remember right the actual cable end is the same a square inner cable that just screws onto the adapter, they are just different style adapters for auto and manual.

I think the cable end and the screw connector are the same for both manual and auto tranny. If the existing cable reaches far enough, it should work just fine. You may have to change the speedo drive gear in the tranny to match the rear end/tire sizes you have so the speedo is calibrated correctly.

Yeah I have the driven gear calculated already and have ordered the proper adapter, just trying to figure out if I needed to order a new cable as well or could use existing. My initial thoughts are same as yours that they utilize the same end connection but figured with all the TKO and tranny swaps someone here would know for sure.

Thanks for the info.
