Reason: spelling
I had exactly the same problem with the front pillar pieces I bought from Corvette America. The original pieces are not exactly straight; there is a slight bow built into them. The re-pop pieces are made straight, so that the plastic snap-clip doesn't even touch the mating parts on the pillar. I called to explain the problem to them and even gave them the amount of error in the shape. I guess they didn't really care, as I suspect Al Knoch buys those kind of parts from Corvette America.

I know what you mean [I]could get the velcro to pop in but then the top where nthe piece goes around the part for the top for the convertable top doesnt fit right it is to small get top to fit then the velcro wont go in at all PITA good money for nothing
Well, I needed to use the 'new' ones...because of the better condition of the surface. So, I drilled out the pop-rivets on the 'new' parts and put a shim under the plastic snaps, then re-riveted them. That put the snaps in the right position to mesh with those on the pillar. I also sprayed some of my SEM interior dye on the surface to get the color to match what I had re-colored earlier.
So, 'new' pillar interior parts....reworked and re-colored...eventually got the job done.

Well maybe I don't have the greatest typing or spelling skills in the world. And my grammer isn't the best. But at least I did learn from my parents. And Christian influence that it is not polite or the right thing to do to ridicule or maliciously point out other peoples faults and inadequacies. So to all the poeple who feel better about doing that I say MERRY CHRISTMAS and may God help you you need it.
