4+ years ago I started on this car with 40 boxes of parts and a bare frame. Its nearly finished and just needs spare tire carrier, stingray emblems, suspension shims/adjustment, and AC compressor. I have the smog set-up but decided to keep it in the box for now. The car is like new and I cant wait until spring to drive it. I went down to the shop in downtown Cleveland to get some pics and video of it running. Enjoy!!
beatiful car,id be real proud to own it.i live near that shop, half hour away.did they do all the work, and the paint.
Thanks. I did all of the mechanical assembly, body stripping, suspension, up to the body drop (in my garage) and then wired the car and put on the chrome stuff. The paint work was done by DB Custom in Newberg, OR. When I moved, I had the car delivered to Corvette Conspiracy for the final detailed assembly. They did an amazing job on the car - its over restored but not to the point that I can't drive it. I plan to drive it
d jordan442,wasnt it you who asked about a corvette shop in cleveland in a post around 5 months ago.and i had said to try corvette conspiracy.if so,i was wondering how there prices are.around a hundred bucks an hour? thanks jd,,,,tom in cleveland
Looks great. I think you should put the smog and AC back on the car. I spent 2 years looking for a 427 4 speed factory AC car. As a whole they are very rare, but add the 2 extra carbs into the mix and you have one hot ride.

Tom,
It was early this year or late last year that you gave me the tip - thanks!! John from CC is a true craftsman. They do restorations and a lot of wild stuff like twin turbo and custom super charger work. I've see alot of high end custom work in there and quality restos. You should call John on the shop rate. Gary - thanks for the compliment. Soemone told me that they made less than 300 427/400 AC convertibles but I have not been able to substantiate that. The AC compressor will be on it for the spring so I should have AC for the summer. I'm going to out the smog back on later. Dan
