Guys,
I have had these cracks since I bought the car 3 years ago. They are still the same today as they were , they have not gotten any worse. Should I just continue to ignore them or is there a fix that is not too extensive or expensive ? L/F corner and L/R corner.
I would tend to wait until time for a total repaint. The repairs will cover a large enough area in both cases to require extensive paint blending which is expensive to prep/ perform correctly... and since the car is highly metallic unless your repairman is a genuine artist it's likely the repairs will not be invisible.
Once you're prepared for a full repaint those areas will have to be taken down to fiberglass to see what you really got there. From the looks of it, you'll strike some rich veins of bondo.
I had similar issues with mine...a large blister came up on the peak of the right rear fender, went through the present paint job and the two underneath it. I looked at it with disgust for about five years, then last April began the grueling task of beginning removal of 41 years' worth of previous paint jobs. I'm not gonna say I'm sorry I did that but I'll have been without my Vette for the better part of a year now and it will probably be early summer before it's all back together and running again, so unless you're rich enough to pay somebody who really knows what they're doing to put those little imperfections right OR you've got the energy to do the grunt work youself (think normal car x 10 to get the paint off a Corvette on the PITA scale) you may just want to do some very localized filling and blending rather than go down the repaint road...my $1.380.
