popping noise from front?

popping noise from front?
Hey guys i backed my vette out this afternoon for a little ride and i noticed it would make a pop noise 1 time from front underside drivers side. the car does not make it anymore after that 1 pop and drives pretty good, i mean it does not pull, dart or anything that i can feel. i stopped the car and put it in drive and pulled up a few ft and went back to reverse and it pops 1 time .....tried this several times and it happens every time. i am going to take her to my front end man in a couple weeks but was wondering if this might be something that i would need to have looked at before I drive it anymore?

In most cases when you pop in the front suspension, you'll find the popping noise is a control arm shaft and the cause is usually the bushing.
Ball joints will do this too, but the control arm bushings are way more common.
It is well worth a look at both to find the noise.

well I dont know for sure but I dont think it is a brake caliper.... gona have it checked out before I drive it much more...................if it was a brake caliper why would it just pop when I back up?
