to find the T-Tops Straps? I only found at Paragon's but It's Different of the original because It has like a seat buckle that originals didn't. I need them black for my 1980. And also I prefer is it's available to buy from a online shop because I'm outside the US. I searched in CC, CA, Ecklers, Willcox Zips and Paragons.
Try posting a WTB in the parts section.
Also, did you check ebay or craigslist?
I Thought of posting in the parts section but will be complicated because I dont have pay pal I only use international CC. I searched on Ebay but no black for today also it's more complicated than buying from a online store.
they show up at various time on ebay. just keep checking back. there are several corvette only salvage yards that also may be able to help (google search). from time to time someone here has them for sale also. they have never been reproduced correctly (as you note), so if you want originals, you need to find someone selling off some. they show up more often than you might think
They're not reproduced, so you have to find used ones.
Chuck Walthers from NY often has them, but I don't know if he has any blacks right now. He runs an E-Bay store (Chucks Corvette Parts), but no web site. You can call him at 1-518-337-7528. Tell him you got his number from Glenn!
Charlie Santorelli in NJ restores them and sells them. Again, no web site, but try him at 1-908-719-2354 between 9-4pm eastern time.
You can also try Rocky at Contemporary Corvette in PA. They part a lot of Corvettes, so could very possibly have some good used T-top straps. www.contemporarycorvette.com or 1-800-367-8388.
Just use spray can 'vinyl dye' to recolor the straps...whatever color they are. Wash and dry them first. The 'trick' is making sure you get ALL the hardware with such a purchase: straps, buckles, mounting 'loops', little metal 'tubes' to put on the mounting loop screws, the correct screws, etc.
