I am constantly on craigslist looking for parts and I came across this add stating that this 1972 vette is for sale. Sends me pictures showing the front having no popup lights. The guy has other cars that he rebuilds and races so I vouch he is competent. My question is what is s tigershark?
A tigershark is when some guy cuts apart some old C3 and modifies the crap out of it then giving it a nickname. It was a common mod to remove headlights and put them down in the grill back in the day. Sounds like an old custom modded car to me.

According to wikipedia a tigershark is, Galeocerdo cuvier, a species of requiem shark and the only member of the genus Galeocerdo. Commonly known as sea tigers, tiger sharks are relatively large macropredators, capable of attaining a length of over 5 m (16 ft).
apparantly the length is the only thing remotely close to accurate when it comes to a corvette.
I guess this is the car you are talking about. Maybe the guy means Stingray? The tigershark corvette refers to C5 and C6 with supercharger and body kit. The price is very low on this car which throws a red flag in my opinion.

I didn't realize that the Corvette Forum, has merged with National Geographic!

You think $4800 is low for that car? Looks like it needs a total renovation. I wouldn't pay that much. What throws the flag to me is the claims on the 1000HP Brand New 327 and the "trans in restoration mode".

No I dont think it's low for that car, I think it's very low for a 72 which tells me there are problems with this car.
My foggy old brain fuzzily recalls someone using the expression "Tigershark" as some sort of Motion/Maco type custom conversion ripoff back in the 70s, but I cant remember for sure.
However, the pic of that car just looks like some junky custom project overpriced by 100%.

on both counts.
As far as the 1st for sure a another custom from back in the day. I'm pretty sure there was also a model kit with the same name.
