ACI Rear Clip Flex

I installed an ACI rear clip on my 75 coupe. The clip is for a 68-73. It is on the car and fits pretty well but when you push on the center of the deck (where the luggage rack would be) it is very flexible. Has anyone run into this? Am I missing something?

Hi c75,
Is the clip properly bonded to the rear bulkhead (the one right in front of the gas tank), and also to the rear wheel-well aprons? I'd think those bonds add support to the deck.

The clip is bonded to those areas. It almost seems like there is suppose to be an add on support in there but I haven't seen anything like that.

Not sure if it's the same on a coupe, but on convertibles there is a brace that runs across the deck bonded to the underside. It is typically sold separate from the rear deck.
