Electric Fuel Pump
I'm doing a ground up rebuild on the original '77 block (cam, new heads etc), and currently have an 81 block dropped in it's place, with all of my original top end stuff on it.
Now, I had to jump to an electric fuel pump, as there was a problem with the mechanical fuel pump with the cam of that block.
Lately, I've noticed that under pressure, I start to get a starvation of fuel feeling. It's got the feeling of "bogging down", but I know that isn't the case. It is DEFINITELY being starved of fuel when in the top end or under load. Once the "starvation" happens, it starts to get VERY inconsistent fuel flow, and can even make the car lurch.
What could be causing this??
I'm going from this fuel pump and regulator (set to the correct pressure)

To this fuel filter (pardon the jerry rig rubber heat shield)

What am I missing here???
Also I've noticed, it does not do it on the way to school in the AM, but does it after school in the after noon. Is this possibly heat related?
