Several weeks ago, I came out to the parking garage and someone had turned a corner in the garage and did a number on the front bumper. Needed re-painting mostly. Since it was un-insured motorist, only a $250 deductible. So, getting rid of 150K miles of road rash and some free touch ups of some other large chips on the fenders near the windshield which were poorly repaired by me. Rest of paint is still quite good and people comment on it. Its a 10 at about 3 feet. Also, decided to replace a hazy windshield from alot of miles also. When taking windshield off, a lot of rust was discovered, but turned out to be just surface rust. So, they sanded it down and primed it. Replacing the antenna also, which had a slight bent to it and did not want to retract easily.
Actually took it to Classic Chevrolet in Sugarland. Since it was an insurance claim and I wanted a guarantee as to the work, I needed to take it to an authorized repair facility. Work done within the estimate. Also Classic is owned by Durant Auto Group which is a first class organization and by brother-in-law if the Fleet Manager with another Durant operation, Stingray Chevrolet (love it!) in Orlando. Little stroke if I need it.
