1972 on ebay?

I've seen this car come up more than this time on ebay. Is there some reason why it has not sold that anyone can tell? It seems to be reasonably priced (I think) under $40K. Does it seem "original" or are there obvious things that any of you may see? I'm certainly not an expert so any help and comments would be appreciated. I realize you would always suggest a local inspection prior to purchasing. Thanks in advance for your help! best Nick

To my eye it's kind of an odd car.
It looks to me as though who ever restored it was mainly interested in maing the exterior be very pretty.... and it is.
There are some very small things that make me wonder about what the rest of the car will be when someone knowledgeable looks it over.
For example... the crankcase breather on the right side of the air cleaner, the spark plug wires, the plug in the wiper safety switch hose, the screws in the rocker trim, the missing front valance spoiler,.
It's in the price range where a car needs to be what it appears to be, not just a 'pretty face'.
Just enough to make me wonder.

Alan
Someone explain to me how the car can have zero miles on the rebuilt engine? Does that mean it has been pushed from one side of the showroom floor to the other?
Once the rebuild was completed, wouldn't the average Corvette owner take it for a ride?
