What's it worth.....
I'm new on here and am thinking about doing a Corvette project. I finished a '67 Camaro and sold it at Barrett so it's time for the next.
The question is - I am looking at a '72 with the majority of the front clip missing. The engine is there (original 350 but which one is unknown) but the bodywork from the windshield up is missing. The car is primer and the interior is saddle and is all there but seats, carpet, etc are worse for wear. It is an auto and has everything from the windshield back.
SO - the guy is asking $3500. I know about Camaros but do not know about 'vettes yet. Is this price reasonable?
Thanks in advance,
Bill
The car you describe sounds like it's going to need lots of costly parts, labor, and love.
Depending on what parts you have access to, and what part of the labor you'll be doing, I'd think you'd have to be very careful to not get more money in it than it would ever be worth.
Finding a COMPLETE but needy, original motor, convertible, for a few thousand dollars more might be a better idea.
In all cases with 68+ Corvettes, rust is the biggest issue. Have you checked this one?

Alan
