79 Corvette rear end roaring
I have a 79 vette that has an issue with a roaring sound coming from the right rear. It only happens at certain speeds and only when no throttle is applied, and especially going down hill. I removed, and replaced the right hand Trailing arm, and it made no difference. any body got any other ideas??

The roar could be from vibration where something from the chassis is hitting something from the body. Check the exhaust pipes, and such, they could be making contact when you are coasting and flex enough under throttle to move away and hot hit. Spare tire carrier is a big drum and can make a lot of noise. Or you could have bad bushings in some of the rear suspension.
