Default Auto shipping question

I am having a 72 corvette shipped from New Jersey to Little Rock, AR.

My question: Do you tip the driver when they deliver?

Here is what they are bringing home to me:
72 Classic White/Red Vinyl, SB/Auto, PS, PB, AC, Hardtop

Sorry for all the pics - I'm just so excited I can't hardly see straight!

I tipped my driver. My 68 was picked up in GA and shipped to NJ last May. While the carrier LIED to me about delivery - quoted 3 days (actual was 4 weeks), I tipped my driver as he agreed to a rendezvous, which intercepted his route and shaved 3-days off my delivery. After watching the care and caution he used to move a 911 Carrera Turbo, Merdedes and Escalade just to get to my car, and then reload each one with the same care, you could tell he genuinely cared about keeping these cars in the condition in which he picked them up. I will NEVER do business with Thomas Sunday again, but that driver was a pro and a nice guy!

As for your car..... Good luck sleeping until it gets home . That is one beautiful vert! Did you buy it from an owner in NJ or are you moving it between locations?

Looks like a great car. Like any work- if its done well and with extra care, any appreciation to the driver is simply good form.

If he is a driver for a company and did a good timely job then yes. If e is an owner operator then you wouldn't be expected to unless he provided you really good service. Be sure to inspect it well before signing for it just in case.

Default Tip

I had a Corvette delivered from NJ to La. Tipped the driver $20. Driver showed a lot of care unloading the Corvette which arrived without any incidents. Transport company contracted the work to this Driver. Driver was a real nice fellow and I was certainly happy!

I did, gave him a $100 bill, had my 68 coupe shipped from Pittsburgh to Minneapolis-St. Paul last May, I knew it was picked up on a Monday morning, he called me Wednesday morning telling me he was just leaving Louisville and would be at my house the next morning, arrived at 10:00 AM, he was 4 days into about a 2 week trip that would take him from Pennsylvania to the Pacific Northwest and down then West Coast to LA and then back to Pennslyvania.
