Default passing time at work

how many of us use the forum to kill time at work? somedays i might not get to be here at all. other days i can spend three hours reading everything from what kind of plugs to use to what tire sizes you can fit with what bs. The forum has given me much more knowledge an smiles than my car has so far. this is unfortunatly b/c i have only put a hundred miles on the vette sice purchase. Then it went up on blocks an my funding went dry. I am getting back to work on it now an was curious how many of you guys are like me?

I read the forum daily. I own a 1980 4/speed and learn more about it every time I get on the forum.
I have also used the forum for valuable "how to" when working on my car. I find it interesting how many times politics, religion, women, money, and nostalgia work their way into so many posts.
I am so glad there is this forum to share so many valuable ideas.
I try not to get on at work as I would not want to get off- it has become an addiction.

yeah very addicting it is! i run into allot of "HURRY UP AN WAIT!!" at my job the forum makes me ejoy it when i used to really get anoyed by it

i like how all the things that are not so much c3 related work their way in. i like feeling like when i go to the so cal meets nor cal run i will slightly feel like i know some of the guys i am meeting for the first time. also it makes meeting all of the guys on here more fun b/c it makes us curious as to who the faces an names behind the screen names are. either way this is by far my favorite corvette forum. the other few i was following were far too much like an annoying *** class of senior hs girls bitchy whinny an hateful for any questions asked that they didn't find worthy to be asked this forum is full of people who care about the cars an helping other people fix them up not their own little clicks an bs thas why it is so addicting

I need to file a complaint. The insurance estimate I work from does not include 3 hours out of every 8 hour shift where I can surf CF. He!!, I don't even know if the bodyshop HAS interweb access.

Been out of work for around 7 months. On some rainy days down here in Fla, I venture out of the C3 forum sometimes and read some of the "off topic" boards. It is pretty funny to read - I think the negative, argumentative few from all of the C forums get together there and really trash eachother. It's kind of like CF's version of Jerry Springer.

Sometimes, when I have the time. Luckily, the Forum is not on the black list and being blocked.

Well today I am servicing locomotives on the under carriage brake side while my job "today" is simple non time consuming an easy I change brakes am inspect axles for damage ect if nothing needs attention I can be done with an entire set of 5 locomotives in 45-an hour but there are three other machanics an an electrician and a man fueling these things so I'm done in 45 the rest of the guys take 2 1/2 hours an then it takes 45-hour to get the next set of locos into the shop with the previous five out safely I have allot of downtime "today" so I'm on cf tomorow I could be changing a turbo or replacing head, rod, an bearings an be busy for 12 hours straight

Before I retired, I didn't have a computer at home, so I'd go in to work 10-15 minutes early, just to check out the CF....

I do a music show on a local radio station, 5 hours a day (PM drive), and the forum fills in time between song sweeps. Show's all prepped beforehand, so no interference. Good times!
