On my 1981, the T-Top it locks in two places, in the front and the back. The front one clamps on in a scissor fashion just on the top of the windshield.
In the back, there is a pin that gets pushed into a hole in the back via a long shaft that is attached to the lever.
On the passenger side, this pin is not attached to the shaft so when I lock the lever the pin never gets pushed into the hole.
I can see that the pin is threaded so I’m assuming that it should screw into this shaft. Am I correct?
Also, is there a trick to get this pin screwed on the shaft, tried for like
30 mins with no luck?
Going to be hard to fix this without pulling rod out. I honestly don't remember for sure but I think you can pull the rod out and replace it. My guess is like Mike's, the tip broke off and the threads are messed up on the end from it.
