Default Baldwin Stripe on later C3?

Fellow Vetters:

Has anyone ever seen a "Baldwin" stripe job on a rubber bumper vette?
I am toying with the idea for my 76 White Base/Black Stripe.

Trying to be a little different and I like the way the rear stripe looks.

Also, did the stripe always have gloss or has anyone seen a flat stripe?

GO for it. I think it would look good. Go to Mustalgia.com and get a Baldwin Roller gas cap to go with it. I have one. Pricey but a nice piece.

Mustalgia is currently out of stock and so far hasn't returned my last email. I hope they are still offering service for Corvettes. I may try calling, and I agree, if a BM stripe is being considered the flip cap is the next best thing to help achieve that unique and classic look.

Thanks, I found this one too.
Not sure I like it.

I will probably have to take a few pics after base coat and scribble my idea with a sharpie to see if it will work.

Wonder if it would look better with the later rear?

Thanks again.

You can offer pics of your car up to the CF Photoshop gurus (via a new thread) and see if they can photoshop some stripes onto your car! I have seen a few folks have some success going that route!!

Hope that helps!

Much better results than the Sharpie route.
