Default Is this show worthy?

I've been spending the past winter months cleaning and tidying up the engine bay. Spray painting various pieces, replacing stickers, re-routing hoses, etc. I have OCD and I still see all the flaws. What do you think? Is this ready for some shows?

Looks pretty sharp! I wouldn't mind it if mine started looking a smidge more like that. Mine doesn't look like a family of raccoons lived in there, but it is an 'original' sort of clean. Not a 'pretty' sort of clean.

If the interior is anywhere near as nice as the engine compartment, you likely have a "Show Winner" at lots of small car shows. Very nicely done. If it were mine, I would not hesitate to show it anywhere.

Great job! The one thing that jumps out at me is the routing of the spark plug wires. Maybe that is correct for your year? Looks great. Love yellow btw.

The valve covers are not stock. Nor are the wires. It has an MSD, so I pretty much need the fatty wires. It runs like a scalded cat though.

I really wasn't going for a completely stock look at this time. I do have plans to revert everything back to factory correct..... someday. Need to track down numbers matching intake and exhaust manifolds.

Thanks for the feedback. Looking forward to Spring.

That is one pretty 454.

My only comment is.....I prefer to install the hose clamps where the slack is pointing down or out of view.

First GoodGuys show in Pleasanton is on 3/24. Appears like your ready. I usually fly out to the one in November and they have a great turnout. Big flea market so you might find that intake

Hi Duff,
It looks VERY nice to me too!
I'd say you could be very proud about opening the hood at a car show.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan

PS: I do agree with JD about the spark plug wires. To my eye it's not the size, but rather the way they're run. They're a bit too prominent.

Definitely show material...as others have said the spark plug wires do jump out at you....I perfer black wires so as not to draw too much attention to them.
