I would like to use 15 x 10 rims with a 3 3/4 backspace torque thrust II design on my 73 will there be any fitment issues, specifically front rubbing during steering? All steering and suspension front and back is stock.

Reason: better info
Doesnt the tire size effect this also, what size tire? You are pushing the wheel in towards the car frame 3/4", stock 8" wheel is 4" backspace. So if the tire width is larger than the rim width, usually it is, you need more than an additional inch of clearance compared to the stock rim/tire. In the back there is a good chance of hitting the parking brake cable at the very least, in the front hitting the sway bar or other suspension components.

The car has the original 15x8 rims with p215/70r15 FireHawk Indy 500 tires and have no issues, would be looking to have a little shorter tire on the 10's, thier back spacing would be also 4''

On your 69 the rims are also 15x8's? they look wider must be as you say the tire size equals extra width, they definatelly look good on your car
sorry for multiple posts, new on this forum, the wheels on my car are 15x8 with 4'' back space. P215/70R15's. your wheels look wider due to tire size, being the same size rim as mine, maybe 15x8 torque II's would be the way to go and resolve all fitting issues, your's look plenty wide enough. thanks

Better idea. The stock wheels are 8" wide with 4" of backspace. A 10" wheel with 3.75" backspace will not fit inside the fender wells. GM put 255/60-15s on 15x8s starting in '78 but they trimmed the front edge of the fender and the rear corner of the fender in the front to avoid any interference issues. So if you choose that size tire you could have some rubbing which may crack the fender. You could drop down to a 235/60 or maybe even a 245/60 to eliminate any rubbing issues but those sizes will not be as tall as the stock 27" height tires. I hope this answers more questions than it asks.

I'm running T70Rs 15x8 w/ 4'' backspace. 255/60/15 in the rear and 235/60/15 up front.
I have 15x10 Torque Thrust D with 3 3/4 in. backspacing and N50's on the back of my car. I did have to use a 1/4 in. spacer to clear the caliper. They stick out about 2 in. I like that look, some don't.
From the sound of your post, you also want these on the front.
I think someone on here built a replica race car with 15x10's all around, but I'm sure he used fender flares all around. Maybe he'll chime in.
