Called D&B today and they said that my small block could be either 153 or 168 (according to their reference materials). They advised me to check and see whether there are two or three bolts connecting my starter to the block. They say this will positively tell me which starter I need.

That doesn't sound right. Usually 168 has a staggered bolt pattern and the 153 is straight. But they're both 2 bolts
It is my understanding an 11" bell housing is used with a 168 tooth flywheel. 10.5" with the 153.
Not sure with auto trans how they set em up just the 4speeds.
What ever size you determine you have again you can't go wrong with the DB electrical one.

Spoke with the shop I use (great work if anybody needs someone in the Bronx, NY area) and decided to wait until Mid March when the car goes up on the lift and order it then. By the way...another solid recommendation for these minis as he has one on his daughters 67 Camaro and is very pleased.
