Default Door Panels

I'm getting ready to install new door panels and at the top of the panel it looks like there will be a gap that will show the steel part of the door. Is there a piece of trim that goes on the top of the door panel? The PO had a bead of black silicone and the outer rubber door seal to fill the gap. If anyone has a picture it would help me a lot. Thanks

My door panels have a window wipe with chrome bead attached to the extrusion that hooks over the opening on the door. It is attached with staples to the door panel.

Based on your user name I'm guessing you have a '68.
There is a piece that bolts to the door on the '68 that has the whiskers riveted to one side and a rubber filler to the other.

I'll see if I can find the recent post where Willcox had a link to the parts you seem to be missing.

Thanks guys I didn't know there was a rubber seal that goes on the inside. I only bought new felts and the outer seals for the door panels. While I had everything apart I also put power door locks on.

68s used whiskers and they could be hard to find. AIM shows them. Order the AIM.

If memory serves, 68 door panels do not have a rubber window wipe on the panel. 69 and later cars do.

I use the later 69 outer seal on my 68. The rubber makes more sense than wiskers to seal out water. You have to use the 68 only inner seal, howerer.
