My front lower control arm bracket is craked in three places and I want to replace it. Its the bracket that is welded to the frame. I only need the bracket and do not need the bracket that goes under the crossmember. I can only find both pieces sold together at a hefty price. Anyone know where I can buy just the bracket that gets welded to the crossmember ?
Well I found a company that sells the upper bracket by itself for $ 65
He also sells used brackets with the bottom gusset for $35. He also told me that he sells more of the used setups than the new ones.
What do you guys think ? would you buy a used upper and lower a arm bracket of a new set up ?
If you can find a competent welder in your area, why not have the cracked bracket rewelded? It will be as good as new and you won't have to remove it from your frame. You'll also avoid the hefty price and only pay for the welding, which you'll be paying for anyway, if you have a new one installed.

I thought to repair but the cracks are going all the way across from left to right, plus a piece is actually about to fall out. I just think its best to replace. I just wasnt sure to replace with one that was cut off an old vette or to actually buy a new one.
opinions please , old one cut from a parts vette , or a new one. ?
