Wow. That's one way to get rid of the pop-up headlights...
Why does the trim on the door between the wheels look backward to me? Always imagined the wind sweeping to the tail. Looks like an arrow getting shot...or a plane flying...backwards.
Even stranger, to look upon this...this...thing and that's what catches my eye. Could have at least gotten rid of the Z06 brake duct that destroys the lower sill line. Looks great on a Z06 but doesn't match this...this...thing one bit.
And to think: I will have BOUGHT my 1970 AND done numerous improvement/restoration items to it for the same amount of money this car probably has into the KIT that turned it into this....this....thing.

Buncha those out here and there was a company from Oklahoma at Barret Jackson that built a retro `63 and `67 coupe on a C5 chassis as well - - remarkably expensive- like $125k+
then it looks like a porsche in the front does anyone else see that?
if they were gonna do this all badges and the chrome trim on the side should be removed
and 53 wheels put on it i think this one is funky but a similar set up could be cool if done right
Yeah,, I snapped a pic of one of those in NZ at a show in 2005. Looks better as a vert, but must say I'm not a fan of anything but the view from it's front.
That is what folks who buy cars at Barrett-Jackson [and don't want to actually drive them] will buy, so they have something to 'tool around' in on Saturdays. A 'common' factory-built Z06 just isn't enough for them!
This idea popped up back around 2003 and many thought it should have been the 50th anniversary model, but Chevy didn't bite. I've seen a few. Like a lot of these retro cars, some angles look great, other angles look yuck. But it does solve the issue for many who would love the '53-'55 look but have to have a new car reliability and comfort.
Kind'a bichin, kind'a not. I don't want one, but having said that, when I punched on the thread, it took a few seconds to load, and when it did...... the exact moment it was visible I thought in my internal dialogue, ...What is that? A T Bird?.... then I recognised it for what it was. I'm not keen on it.
