Just finished 2tone black/red 1980 interior
I just completed a black/red interior change for my 1980 4speed. I figured if I need to change paint scheme it will be much easier. It was originally ALL red. I dyed the visors, door panels, door handle sockets, center console, steering wheel. Also changed my seats to black. Carpet behind seat back is also black. I am very novice when it comes to working on my car so this was very rewarding. Inside carpet remained red.

Looks good great job Carolina must be a cool place to live if your a Chevy/ race fan do you get to see allot of the old school cars there. I have a buddy that lived in N.C he told me all he ever saw on weekends was everyone bringing out whatever they had restored an that there was race tracks everywhere that the whole town would go to

Hi Jesse,
Your comment about the cars in N.C. made me remember that in the '50s many of us on the East coast thought that all you'd see in Southern California would be serious customs and street rods. I wanted to go SO badly! Couldn't quite travel on paper-boy money!
Regards,
Alan

Thx Jesse. We are a little spoiled here in NC with the racing we have nearby. It really is part of our culture. Nostalgia with cars is everywhere. I keep finding connections constantly that are tied to racing.(ie...several mechanics I have taken my car to "use to build/drive Nascar". Since I am not very mechanical, I am probably more in awe than the average person. But I do know the love of CORVETTES is the SAME everywhere.
P.s. drove past the ROCKINGHAM speedpark yesterday and was still mesmerized.

Looks good! I'm think about doing something similar with my '81. I have dark blue interior and want to change all the carpet to black. thanks for some new Ideas!
