Default Breaking records in March...

Temperature records that is. Today was about 72, way above average. This past weekend was nice too so I decided to give my '71 a little Spring wash up. The paint, chrome, and engine are all a little tired looking, but they'll have to do while I save up my $1 bills over the next years.

Anyway, I took a video of where I'm at right now before I get too much further on my interior installation that I'm just beginning. The video quality isn't great as it's from my Canon S3 camera.

Yea, I thought that since it was winter I would prep my 82 and have it painted by spring. So now it's mid 80's this week in ga and my car is in the garage about 80% stripped. Oh well.

The paint looks decent in the movie but the video quality is too low for you to see all of the damage it has. It may shine from all my waxing/clay bar efforts, but it sat too long in the PO's garage with a cover on it and there was crap under the cover which I think permanently damaged the color layers. I've clay barred it several times and waxed it several, all to no avail in removing those spots or swirls. So while it shines, it's just a good 10 foot paint job. Also some a$$hole keyed the thing while the PO had it and since it was a repo car, I've had a hard time trying to find paint to match as it was originally blue.

I used Griots during the last waxing last Fall. I tried a compound that was supposed to help with the swirls but it didn't do much. The paint and chrome are good, just not great, but hey it's a driver not a show queen.

It certainly gets out of the garage a fair amount as I sometimes take it to lunch. This will be my first summer since I bought it in Aug 2010 where it's fully driveable. I'm just waiting for the car shows to start, that's why I've got to get my butt in gear and finish the interior.

I put my snow plow on my s-10 Blazer in December. Backed it in the driveway, Plow never tuched the ground all winter. And the battery when dead from sitting.
I drove my LeBaron convertable with the top down on Febuary first, And Leap day the 29th.
