ENID — Corvette owners from near and far will show off their favorite toys in Enid on April 7.
Corvettes of Enid’s annual show, Corvette Expo XX, will be 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 7 at Chisholm Trail Expo Center.
The show will boast more than 100 Corvettes of all years, from some of the first to the newest models, original stock to fully customized.
Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children under 12.
Gene Knouse, show chairman, said Corvettes will come from as far away as Nevada and Alabama for the show.
“The emphasis on this show is to support local charities through the proceeds of the event,” Knouse said. “Corvettes of Enid is a nonprofit club that supports local charities such as Court Appointed Special Advocates, AMBUCS AmTrykes, Youth and Family Services, YMCA, YWCA and others.”
Glenn Watson, treasurer of Corvettes of Enid, said the club has given $28,360 to area charities over the last five years, with an additional $1,000 pledged.
The Corvette Expo is the club’s main fundraiser, Watson said.
The club meets at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at Anderson-Burris Community Center, 3022 N. Van Buren.
Club activities include monthly cruises, drive and eat events, car shows, parades and civic activities. Anyone with interest in Corvettes can join. Annual dues are $25.
